Down to earth, funny, christian cowboy poet R.P. Smith from Broken Bow, Nebraska. Listen in and you'll be blessed.
As he learns to appreciate his new hearing aids, RP Smith shares his poem
'The Web'.
A spider web in dew comes clearly into view
between two strands of wire with the sunlight shining through.
I slow now from my duty to closer view the beauty
pasture art appreciation, impromptu.
The reason for its being is not for my scene.
Soon the dry and raise its purpose will restore.
The spider and I, our wider webs will ply
and everything that is beyond we will ignore.
Is it all about survival? Is there time for revival?
As we set about our daily tasks.
In a different light, will what we do seem right?
Do we have the courage to even ask?
Thank you, Lord for your kindness,
to relieve me from my blindness
for a little while, allowing me to view
the loveliness of lace suspended in its place,
and a moment to stop and ponder you.
Ears to hear and eyes to see. Both are gifts from the Lord. Proverbs 20:12
Be tuned into Him today. Thanks for riding along on homegrown this morning, hoping that the Lord blesses you real good today, that he is raining on your place and that our happy trails cross again soon.
R.P. has some openings if you need an entertaining speaker.
