In this piece of audio mainly just to help set up the feed for the show, Rick Katschke explains the rules of The Catered Quiz...which are the following:
Our guest/contestant ("conguestant") provides topics they are confident about. Two topics are selected and a quiz is created.
There are two rounds of questions with this format
A 10 point question and a 10 point bonus question
A 20 point question
A 30 point question that is a 50/50 this or that
A 40 point question that has two answers each worth 20 points
A 50 point question
After the first two rounds with this format, there are two final questions. The first final question is called the doubler where the conguestant picks a topic and can double their current score without losing any points.
The remaining topic is then used for the final question which is called The Required Risk in which the conguestant must risk at least 1 point or at most their current score.
It all makes sense when you listen to an episode of the Catered Quiz.
