E333– Inner Voice – A Heartfelt Chat with Dr. Foojan. In this episode, Dr. Foojan Zeine chats with Dr. Jeanine Cogan and Mary Hillebrand. Dr. Cogan is a mindfulness meditation teacher and executive consultant. She earned a PhD in social psychology and has edited two other books and published many articles in academic journals. She is a member of the Washington Mindfulness Com- munity’s Practice Council and received her dharma name, Loving Peace of the Heart, in 2009. Her name reminds her that all she needs to be at peace is connection with her own breath. Jeanine is passionate about teaching meditation to others in the community, at conferences, and in the workplace, as well as weaving it into her professional coaching with clients. A former academic, Jeanine has edited two books and written 20+ articles for professional journals. Mary Hillebrand is a former magazine editor and writer and is now a teacher and enjoys teaching mindfulness to high school and adult students and other educators. Mary enjoys teaching mindfulness to her students and sharing her practice with other educators. In her prior career as a journalist, she has written and edited for a variety of business and financial publications. Mary’s dharma name, Attentive Listening of the Heart, reminds her that, although she has often been able to impact others by using her voice, stopping to be fully present and listen can be just as powerful.
