So far in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus has described what the character of a believer should be (the Beatitudes), the function of the believer (salt and light) and now Jesus teaches the foundations for those inner qualities (our attitudes). To introduce this he focuses on the purpose of the Law - God's Word. Today we consider moving from the Beatitudes to looking at our Attitudes and the call we have been given to be Children of God.
