When Hannah Olson (SHA’17) contracted Lyme disease as a sophomore Hospitality Administration major, her life was thrown into a difficult world of hospital visits, IVs, and other health challenges. But from that illness came the idea for Chronically Capable, an online platform connecting people with chronic illnesses to supportive businesses. Next, she launched Disclo, an HR tech software startup that streamlines the process of workplace disclosures and accommodations.
Hannah spoke with us about her growth as a leader and how she transformed personal adversity into innovation and advocacy for the disability community. Shortly after our recording, Hannah was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for 2024.
