#5. The Vancouver Canucks have acquired center Elias Lindholm from the Calgary Flames, to open up the trading season in the NHL, and the Calgary Flames, get a haul in return.
#6. The Montreal Canadiens have traded Forward Sean Monahan to the Winnipeg jets, and got that additional 1st round pick that most were saying Montreal could not and would not get for Sean Monahan, and more. So many were and are wrong again. That’s got keep stinging badly.
#7. Another coach has been fired. The L.A. Kings have fired head coach Todd McLellan, who now joins Jay Woodcroft, Dean Evason, Craig Berube, D.J. Smith and Lane Lambert.
