Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy modality which was founded in the 1980’s when Dr. Richard Schwartz was working with a client diagnosed with Bulimia. On this episode of All Bodies. All Foods., we are lucky enough to have eating disorder and IFS expert, Dr. Kim Daniels, PsyD (she/her/hers) join us to discuss what IFS is, what it isn’t, what are our parts, what are they not, how IFS supports our loved ones with eating disorders, and how it utilizes confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion to help clients find and use the voice of their core self while acknowledging how their past experiences have shaped their inner dialogue. More about Dr. Daniels can be found at www.drkimdaniels.com.
