It has been my contention that the phrase, "beating the odds" is meaningless. There are no odds. In fact, the odds are arbitrarily placed barriers we unconsciously place in front of certain areas of our lives. Seth David Chernoff and Gerald Balone have figured this out. On this week's edition of Journey of Hope With Rodney Mathers, these two men demonstrate how they have managed to survive and thrive despite tremendous obstacles that they refuse to let stand in their way. Seth survived life threatening cancer not once, but twice. Gerald spent 37 years in prison. Both men, despite their circumstances, live happy, successful, productive lives.
