- To grow solid through suffering, humble yourself before God, resist the devil, trust the Lord, and stand firm in God’s grace!
- God uses the suffering to make us
- The First Temptation: Matthew 4:1-4 he will test your providence and provision
- The Second Temptation: Matthew 4:5-8 Satan seems to intensify the temptation of our Lord by challenging Him to wrongly apply a biblical promise of protection
- The Third Temptation: Matthew 4:8-11
- satan shows our Lord the kingdoms of the world and their glory
- The price was exceedingly high - worship satan
- We should not deter suffering and be attracted by glory
- He offered Him the glory of earthly kingdoms
- Let us be very careful not to fall into satan’s trap
- Ephesians 2:6
- We must also properly evaluate the enemy, and which door is he trying to enter through
- Satan is an accuser
- He accused Job, He told Eve that ‘God is a liar’, he also attacks us, he says that we cannot be godly or holy; he will attack our body image, our failures, and our relationships
