Who Is This Jesus?

Luke 4:14-44 reflects on Jesus' proclamation as the Messiah, His rejection in Nazareth, and His affirmed authority through the preaching of God’s Word in the midst of healing and casting out demons. Luke's accounts call for its hearer to hold the importance of spiritual acknowledgement and the transformative power of believing Jesus is God’s Promised Messiah. It challenges readers to consider their perception of Jesus, not just as a miracle worker but as the Savior, emphasising the need for repentance and recognition of Jesus' role in delivering humanity from spiritual poverty and the bondage of sin.
