Dennis Maurice Dumpson is the founder of #InvestBLK, a consultancy that invests 75% of profits in Black leaders, movements, and communities. He uses his expertise in fund development, external affairs, and anti-racist strategy development to support nonprofit organizations in alleviating anti-Blackness in their culture practices. After more than 15 years as a leading fundraiser and in-house strategist for national and local nonprofits and in government he has secured more than $38.5MM in new funding throughout his career. He is also a thought leader on racial equity and has been consulted and featured in the Washington Post, CBS Money, The Socialist Worker, and Medium. Dennis is a visiting lecturer for local colleges focusing on business, personal finance, and areas of contemporary Black thought. He is an alumnus of the first degree granting HBCU in the world, Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, and earned an MBA in Global Finance from Saint Joseph’s University with international residency in South America. Dennis is in love with Black people, Black culture, and Black minds as seen through his work as a published author in his book, What My Colored Eyes See, released in 2009 and soon-to-be released book, Black Washed. He currently resides in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and in his spare time you can find him being an amateur chef (#BistroRAHA on Instagram).
