Episode Synopsis:
Tim's (Tim Allen) friend Dave puts him in an awkward position when he asks him to lie to his girlfriend (and Jill's best friend) Karen. He wants Tim to say that they had lunch together yesterday, whereas Dave was actually seeing another woman. Despite the ethical quandary, Tim goes along - which gets him into hot water with Jill (Patricia Richardson) when she finds out, and hotter water with Dave when he finds out Jill knows.

Meanwhile, Al (Richard Karn) tries to identify wood by scent on Tool Time, while Brad (Zachary Ty Bryan), Mark (Taran Noah Smith) and Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) build a garbage catapult to get revenge on some neighborhood bullies.
