The Founders of this country acknowledged the God-given rights to speak, assemble, worship, and defend ourselves. The First and Second Amendments were meant to enshrine these pre-existing rights in immutable law. Our government has slowly trod over these concepts. This week, the SCOTUS has been hearing several cases about our absolute rights.
