In commemoration of 45 years since the meltdown at Three Mile Island, I am re-posting this Listen Up program from 10 years ago.
On March 28th, a partial nuclear meltdown occurred in one of the two Three Mile Island nuclear reactors. Pennsylvania Governor Dick Thornburgh recommended that pregnant women and young children evacuate the area. Listen Up! chats with Tom Quinn of the blog Tapewrecks . Tapewrecks has compiled a collection of music relating to the incident and we will hear some of that music and talk about how and why this project came about.
