3: Doing Not Doing. Do I take Action or Let Go and Surrender? The Art of Softness
We hear so much about taking action. And at the same time we are learning to let go and surrender.
Am I meant to be doing more or doing less?
Today was a lot of fun sharing on the Art of Softness as the birds sang and played while the rain fell onto the old tin roof. We just touched the surface of Doing Not Doing, the wei wu wei.
I love this conversation so much as The Book of The Way - Tao Te Ching (Lao Tzu) so artfully captured. Once we bring awareness to our Mind Doing (the force of our will, the conscious mind), we can let go and surrender. Like a subtle shift in energy, we reemerge as an energy form of Doing Not Doing, which is far from doing no-thing.
I must also give full credit to the incredible work of the late Dr Wayne Dyer, as I mentioned multiple times today, his precious words with such a powerful depth "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change" . What more can I say after sharing that!
I'm sure we will revisit this topic over and over, but for now, I love how we get to reflect on where we are at in our flow state of life and whether we can invite ourselves to stop dragging our feet along the bottom of the river and kick back on that flamingo or donut floaty ;)
Stay soft, stay gentle, stay kind to self.
With an open and grateful heart,
Melissa
