"Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.'
I spoke about having a tribe, community is kind of similar but just as important. This is what community is not. A community is not just a bunch of yes people.
Being a part of a community means having a sense of trust, belonging, safety, and caring for each other. It also means sharing common interests, values, and aspirations with other people.
Strong communities are important because they're give us a sense of belonging. There was a study of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and it showed that loneliness was one of the factors with the greatest impact on people's health.
Ultimately, communities give people a supportive group to help them cope with the difficult challenges life throws at you. You can band together to solve problems and celebrate life's happy moments.
When we have feeling of isolation, anxiety and depression, seeking meaningful connections to help them cope -- and that is one of the most important functions a communities perform.
There’s never been a more crucial time to be there for others who are struggling with their mental and physical health than right now, with all the pressure in the fast-paced world we live in.
BUT you do need to be careful about who you let in:
- Be wary of those who constantly complain without seeking solutions
- If someone disrespects you, they don’t belong in your inner circle
- If you’ve outgrown your friends or taken a more mature path in life, it’s essential to reevaluate your friendships
- Drama Seekers: They thrive on attention and drama, often at the expense of your time and energy
Remember, it’s not about the length of time you’ve known someone; it’s about the quality of the connection and the positive vibes they bring into your life. Choose wisel
You got this, I believe in you.
