Over the last six months-plus, we have covered the numerous research-backed ways that methylene blue can help improve our health and mitochondrial function: from being one of the most potent antioxidants out there (i.e., one of the best electron donors available) to combatting neurodegeneration to reducing stress/anxiety/depression to fiercely combatting viruses and harmful bacteria to its powerful photodynamic capabilities with red light therapy and much more. Yet there is one anti-aging purview related to methylene blue we have not discussed yet: the skin!
While it may seem counterintuitive that a blue dye could have such a positive influence on skin health, the research clearly demonstrates that it both improves skin thickness (our skin thins as we age) and skin hydration (likewise, decreases as we chronologically age and contributes to wrinkling). I will cover two different articles that articulate these amazing skin health benefits and more from topical methylene blue.
During this episode, I will also review the cutting-edge anti-aging skin ingredients that BioLight incorporates into our one-of-a-kind skin cream and the role those ingredients play into augmenting skin health. And with that being said, that cream is getting a major update and upgrade to its recipe and will be rebranded to BioCream. And for those that read this far, you'll be one of the first to know that the BioCream is being released this weekend!
If you found the information in today's episode particularly interesting and/or compelling, please share it with a family member, friend, colleague and/or anyone that you think could benefit and be illuminated by this knowledge. Sharing is caring :)
As always, light up your health!
