Three years ago, in May 2021, thousands of Palestinians led a mass popular uprising, known as "The Unity Uprising", across Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and inside Israel, sparked by Israel’s escalating colonial policies in Jerusalem. Within Israel, protests in multiple Palestinian towns were suppressed by police and special units using militarized means.
