Welcome to Episcopal Divinity School’s new podcast mini-series: Leading Voices: EDS at General Convention. In today’s episode, EDS Interim President the Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas is joined by Bishop Allen Shin from the Diocese of New York. Together, they discuss Bishop Shin’s work to develop a report on White Christian Nationalism, the importance of beloved community, and what it means to follow the teachings of Jesus.
The Rt. Rev. Allen K. Shin was elected to be the diocese’s new bishop suffragan on December 7, 2013, at a special election convention held at Manhattan’s Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, and was consecrated at the Cathedral on Saturday May 17, 2014.
