Doctor Who: Watchers in the Fourth Dimension
TV & Film:TV Reviews
Oh wow! It’s the 100th Doctor Who serial! For those who don’t know, that’s The Stones of Blood – a story featuring more women that we’ve seen in a long time (including possibly the greatest batty old lady that we’ve seen to date!), a return to the gothic setting before pivoting to a space courtroom drama, and magnificent stone monoliths made out of polystyrene. What more could you possibly want in a story!?
Join us as we discuss ALL the ladies, David Fisher’s ability to write to sparkling dialogue, whether this story is making fun of the Hinchcliffe era (spoiler: we think it is!), Vivien Fay’s questionable sexuality, and the amazingly bitchy personalities of the Megara – this story is absolute gold. Anthony also posits the theory that this story might be one of Russell T. Davies’ favourite stories.
