House Rep. from District 60 Fred Shanks joins the Clay Edwards Show this morning this morning with Shaun Yurtkuran and myself for the full 2 hours to discuss a wide range of topics from current events to bills they're working on down at the state capitol.
- We take a look at the horrific murder of a 4-yr old Louisiana girl that along with her 6-yr old sister were kidnapped by the same man who brutally murdered their mother Thursday morning in Hammond, LA. The crime scene unfolded on Boozer dr. in South Jackson, which is a street well known for white meth head, squatters. According to the Chief of Jackson Police it appears the home was being used for human trafficking, there's also reports of failure from the 911 operators to actually dispatch the police to the area
-State Auditor Shad White has decided that writing a book about his battle with Mississippi sports icon Bret Favre would be a good political idea, I disagree and discuss with Fred and Shaun.
- With all of the economic development going on in Mississippi why does it appear that Hinds and Rankin are missing out on these mega Amazon like developments when we have the real estate and roof tops for workforce?
- Fred has been at the center of a hot button topic concerning the potential removal and replacement of Mississippi's two confederate statues in the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.. We get Fred on the record to discuss the potential of that happening and what would have to happen for their removal to become a reality.
