Statins May Lower Parkinsonism Risk + New Genetic Test to Prevent Deafness in Babies

Gentamicin is the preferred treatment for newborns with infections like sepsis but about one in 500 babies have a genetic variant that makes them susceptible to gentamicin-induced hearing loss.
