Ilya Kovalchuk is a member of the LAKings eight years after first flirting with the team, ending the longest period of flirting between two eventual lovers that anyone has ever seen. We break down the signing, the NHL draft, other targets the Kings had and even make a prediction on what Drew Doughty will get on his next contract (SPOILER: We were right!). Also, we try not to get too giggly when creating our possible line combinations for the upcoming season and furthermore, try not to wet ourselves with excitement over the Kings potential top power play unit.
