Unemployment no longer has a face of the working class and the ‘uneducated’, unemployment has now entered the middleclass and professionals. For the first time professionals and educated people are finding themselves without jobs and unemployed for the first time in their lives.
In this episode I am in conversation with Fusi Motaung and Siphiwe Moyo on What exactly is this unemployment crisis telling us, is it just a passing phase, is it here to bring chaos, or could it be an opportunity?

Fusi Motaung is human resources lead consultant at Atleha Consulting (Pty) Ltd. He drives
commercially competitive compliance in HR planning, talent acquisition recruitment,
disciplinary resolution, difficult relationship coaching, training & development, equity &
diversity project management, health & safety, procurement, SLP and employability.
To enable success of interventions, he facilitates training on preventing harassment in the
workplace, valuing cultural diversity, mastering workplace etiquette, executing
employment equity planning, time and self (energy) management, emotional and spiritual
intelligence, problem solving, communication etiquette, being a worthy worker, techno
and social media etiquette and workplace code of conduct.
To tackle unemployability, Fusi has been running job search and work readiness training
coaching for sixteen years. He is a published author of the book titled: Who Got the Job
Ahead of You? The Ways and Habits of People Who Get Jobs.
Through Atleha Consulting, Fusi Motaung is hosting HR community Webinars to simplify
HR contribution and value creation, to share insights and to tackle employability
challenges.
Fusi completed a PGD in Business Management, Bachelors Technology in Human

Siphiwe Moyo
Siphiwe Moyo is a sought-after and highly-rated International Keynote Speaker, Author and
Organisational Development (OD) Facilitator. He has presented at numerous international
conferences, primarily in the EMEA and APAC regions. A Southern African Speaker Hall of
Fame and a Southern African Educator Hall of Fame Inductee, Siphiwe is a safe pair of hands
for Executives trying to solve people-related issues in organisations. He's a seasoned HR
practitioner and Organisational Behaviour specialist. He studies and teaches human behaviour
within a workplace context. He is considered an expert in leadership, cultivating optimism, hope
& resiliency, employee motivation, and helping employees cope with organisational change. He
has helped many senior leadership teams with team effectiveness interventions.
Siphiwe designed the initial postgraduate module in Organisational Behaviour offered at
Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He has worked as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching
primarily Organisational Behaviour, at GIBS, Henley Business School Africa, Wits Business
School and the Johannesburg Business School. Siphiwe was Vice President of the Professional
Speakers Association of Southern Africa and was Chairman of the Board at the South African
Board for People Practices.
