Jay Ramos began his staffing career in 2000 as an intern at Amtec, quickly establishing himself with a blend of humor and a genuine affinity for connecting with people. His dedication saw him rise through the ranks, transitioning from a full-time recruiter to President and part owner of Amtec. Jay’s commitment to fostering long-term client relationships and his innate drive to assist others have been instrumental in his success.
In 2008, Jay played a pivotal role in launching Amtec Global Solutions Inc., an offshore firm based in the Philippines. This initiative has significantly contributed to delivering cost-effective, high-quality recruiting, virtual assistant, marketing, and accounting services to U.S. companies.
Jay's achievements were recently highlighted when he was honored with the Staffing Professional of the Year award by the California Staffing Professionals Association. Additionally, he received the prestigious Essey Award, recognizing his significant impact and leadership in the industry. Jay also serves as the State President of California Staffing Professionals, further demonstrating his leadership and influence in the field.
Outside of work, Jay finds immense fulfillment in nurturing organizational growth and mentoring aspiring leaders. Jay has been happily married to Christine for 23 years, and together they cherish their time with their 22-year-old daughter. In his leisure moments, Jay enjoys surfing, boating, swimming, SCUBA diving, and exploring new destinations around the globe.
