SHOW NOTES:
In Podcast Episode 281, “Everyday Decision Points Can Lead to Legacy Turning Points,“ Kim discusses the importance of being careful about the decisions we make every day and may even take for granted. As we look at the life legacy of King Ahab of Israel, the scriptures highlight three everyday decision points that led to his legacy of evil: (1) the example he followed; (2) the relationship he chose; (3) the god(s) he worshipped.
Our focal passage for this episode is 1 Kings 16:29-33 with verses 31-33 as the focal verses:
31 And as though it were not enough to follow the sinful example of Jeroboam, he married Jezebel, the daughter of King Ethbaal of the Sidonians, and he began to bow down in worship of Baal. 32 First Ahab built a temple and an altar for Baal in Samaria. 33 Then he set up an Asherah pole. He did more to provoke the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, than any of the other kings of Israel before him.”
