ROCKSTORY
"(BENGAL TIGERS)"
"“ Bengal Tigers formed in Melbourne Australia in 1979 and were quickly signed to the emerging Mushroom label in Australia, and the famous Heavy Metal Records in the UK. In 1983 the band released the EP Metal Fetish with the lineup consisting of Gordon Heald (vocals), Mick Egan (drums), Steve Tyler (bass) and Barney Faroukh (guitar), but split-up later that year, perhaps before their 1984 Cheat On single was released. However, in 1989 the band reformed releasing two albums with Demos. EP Painclinic was released in 1995 followed in 1997 with In One Ear. It was in 1998 that they release their first full length album titled In The Blood followed the same year with the EP Fight for your Right. Bengal Tigers amassed a cult following and were known as Australia's heavy metal kings. The band has done several reunion shows and is sill active today. The current member's consist of Yuri Linzew on guitar, Justin Linkins on drums, Gordon Heald on vocals and Rob Bodger on bass. A new album is being worked on right now. A resurgent Bengal Tigers is imminent! "
