Dr Douglas Pietersma holds a Doctor of Education degree with a concentration of Christian Education Leadership from Regent University, in addition to undergraduate degrees in Bible, Spanish, and Communications and a graduate degree with a concentration in Latin American studies.

Dr. Pietersma is a researcher for The National Home Education Research Institute and an adjunct professor for Regent University. He is the Director of Homestead Homeschool Cooperative, with the mission of “partnering with homeschool families to enable parent-directed Christian home education intended to facilitate development of a Biblical worldview and academic excellence in students.”

As a small business owner in Cheyenne, Wyoming he provides personal character-enhancing educational services through public speaking, Christian homeschool support, education journal editing, private tutoring, tailored language learning programs, and martial arts. He is also an editor, author, Spanish linguist, and the primary homeschool instructor for his two children.
