This week: The Sagittarius First Quarter Moon and its impulsive ruling planet, Jupiter, shout encouragement to the Sun and Venus. Mercury and Mars share an opportunity aspect, but not all opportunities are good ones; and in a preamble to eclipse season, Mars draws battle lines with the lunar nodes. And a listener asks for clarification on the relationship between eclipses and the Lunar Nodes. Plus: Pelicans on the move, pausing before purchasing, and avoiding a trainwreck!

[2:14] Moon Report! The Sagittarius First Quarter Moon (Sep. 10, 11:05 pm PDT, 19º00’ Sagittarius-Virgo) is the first action point in the Virgo New Moon cycle that began on Sep. 2, 2024, at 11º04’ Virgo.
[4:42] This is also the First Quarter in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began at the New Moon on Dec. 12, 2023. The Full Moon in this LPFC comes on June 11, 2025, and the Last Quarter Moon on March 11, 2026. Look to those lunations for more feedback about what you put into motion at that Sagittarius New Moon.
[6:10] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On Sep. 9 (10:11 am PDT) the Moon sextiles Pluto at 29º52’ Scorpio-Capricorn. The Moon is VOC for only 14 minutes before moving into Sagittarius (10:25 am PDT).
[7:31] On Sep. 11 (5:20 pm PDT), the Moon squares Neptune at 28º45’ Sagittarius-Pisces, then is VOC for 2 hours 17 minutes before it enters Capricorn (7:37 pm PDT). If you find yourself in a pattern of disappointment, try a new approach.
[8:36] The Moon conjuncts Pluto at 29º49’ Capricorn on Sep. 14 (12:35 am PDT). It's VOC for about 18 minutes, then enters Aquarius (12:53 am PDT). What do we need to do to be better prepared for the changes to come?
[10:45] Mercury sextiles Mars on Sep. 11 (8:42 pm PDT) at 04º21’ Virgo-Cancer. Mercury is on Sabian symbol 5 Virgo, A man dreaming of fairies; Mars is on 5 Cancer, An automobile is wrecked by a train. Don't let your mind run away from you, and pay attention to what's happening around you.
[12:25] The Sun squares Jupiter at on Sep. 12 (3:53 am PDT). In practical terms, on this date, the best idea is to not take ill-considered action.
[14:43] Venus trines Jupiter at 20º23’ Libra-Gemini on Sep. 14 (10:34 pm PDT). This is an extraordinarily lucky transit! A great day for social events too!
[16:27] Mars in Cancer squares the lunar nodes (Aries/Libra) on Sep. 15 (7:25 p.m. PDT) at 6º38’. This transit hints at the Oct. 2, 2024 Libra Solar eclipse very close to these degrees. Themes concerning fighting for or defending our family, our loved ones or even our country could be highlighted at this time.
[18:51] Listener Scout asks for clarification on the relationship between eclipses and the Lunar Nodes, discussed on Episode 249.
