Guest: Peter Altman The National Resource Defense Council in alliance with the Physicians for Social Responsibility have recently released a new report analyzing and rating the high levels of pollution throughout the United States, primarily due to coal and fossil fuel burning. We have with us Peter Altman, the Climate Campaign Director for the National Resource Defense Council to speak about the report -- entitled “Toxic Power: How Power Plants Contaminate Our Air and States” -- and the moves within Congress to strip the EPA further of its due diligence on air polluters and to remove further environmental regulations on the big industry polluters. The NRDC is a nonprofilt environmental organizaiton with over 1.3 million members and activists, lawyers, scientists and environmental experts dedicated to protecting the world’s natural resources and public health.
