In these times of economic uncertainty and hardship, how do we as Christians live in trust? Our economic fears seem to be driving our society's posture of hands clenched and arms crossed. Jesus spoke frequently about economics, including our gospel reading today from Luke 12:22-34. We are called to stand with arms spread and hands wide open, physically saying that we trust in God. Can any act of violence be defined as an act of trust in God? While the issues become complex, this is a question we need to ponder. Pastor Phil encouraged us to live as communities of joy in these times of economic anxiety.
