Christopher D. Ivey is the Co-Chair of the firm's Corporate and Securities Practice Group. He practices corporate and securities law, including organizational and transaction matters for emerging growth companies, venture capital financing, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, and regulation under the Securities and Exchange Commission. Other areas of emphasis include intellectual property licensing and development agreements.
Mr. Ivey frequently speaks on topics related to federal and state securities laws, organizing and advising closely held businesses and technology licensing. He has lectured to organizations on many topics which include the Adaptive Business Leaders Organization on developing an effective Board of Directors, the Association of Corporate Counsel on advanced contact negotiation, and at The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California in Irvine on legal issues for start-ups.
Mr. Ivey received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 1994 from the University of San Diego, where he was a member of the Law Review and inducted into the Order of the Coif. He received his B.S. in finance, cum laude, from California State University, Long Beach, in 1990.
