The Thursday night service at the high church of rock and roll, where the gospel of the Desolation Angel was delivered brought another extended show, and this one made a point. Two halves, two hours, two completely different styles of music that melded together perfectly. A full hour of '70's rock and roll icons, all live and all off the board, at the peak of their powers, and a full hour of the passionate, raw, close to the bone, down in the blood musicians who deliver without being recognized that are our normal forte here, and it smoked:
