There are very few directors that have come as close to batting 1000 as Michael Mann. For years it appeared as if he was incapable of making a bad movie. He has slipped a little in recent years, but he is still very close to being perfect.

This week we discuss the man behind some of the most visually striking, narrative tight, and brilliantly acted films ever made.
