Paula is now based in Santa Cruz having moved here with her husband, best-selling novelist Michael Marshall, and their son. Paula is a member of The National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), one of the most venerable associations for professional herbalists in the world. Paula’s passion for herbs includes a love of nature and the outdoors. She ran regular herb walks in London, helping people discover the astonishing variety of wild medicinal plants growing in our streets and parks, and now runs herb walks here in Santa Cruz. We find out more about Indian Canyon, the only land continuously held by the Ohlone people, the first inhabitants of the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas, and the only federally recognized "Indian Country" along coastal Northern California from Santa Barbara to Sonoma.
