Whenever I complained about something growing up, my father would tell me, Life isn’t Fair.
And it isn’t. ----more----
This is one of the things we all struggle with in our quest to be moral.
We want to be moral, but sometimes the people who succeed are the ones who aren’t moral.
And that isn’t fair.
But complaining about that isn’t going to change anything.
Wishing for cosmic karma won’t change anything either.
You can choose to mope. You can choose to succumb to temptation. Or you can choose to double down on your good moral behavior.
As a Humanist, I double down on being moral.
Why? Because making a fairer more just world isn’t going to happen on its own.
It will only happen if good people continue to stand up for what is right, just and fair.
I’m doing my part. What about you?
