Pat Ivey is the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance for the University of Missouri after serving the previous three years as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. He is responsible for the entire player development program for football, overseeing the development of Missouri's remaining varsity sports, as well as sports nutrition.
Prior to his arrival at Missouri, Ivey was the Director of Strength and Conditioning at The University of Tulsa for two years (2002-2004) where he directed the efforts of all 18 sports programs. Prior to that Ivey spent time as an Assistant Director, Graduate Assistant, and defensive end at the University of Missouri over the course of nine years.
Ivey lettered as a defensive end at Missouri from 1993-95. In 1995, he was the strongest athlete in the history of Missouri. Ivey was signed by the San Diego Chargers and spent two seasons on their roster. Ivey then worked as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Missouri while splitting time with both the Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers. While serving as a graduate assistant, Ivey worked with several sports including football, track and field, wrestling, and baseball.
Ivey received his undergraduate degree in 1996 in Hotel and Restaurant Management with an emphasis in nutrition and he completed his master's in health education in 2000. Ivey holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association as well as United States Weightlifting.
