Andrew Greer is a Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter, respected music journalist and co-creator of the innovative “Hymns for Hunger" Tour, along with Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter Cindy Morgan. Helping raise awareness and resources for hunger relief organizations around the country, the tour has been presented in dozens of cities across the nation, along with special performances at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Samaritan's Purse and Amy Grant's "Tennessee Weekend" benefit.
Greer is a 2013 GMA Dove Award nominee for Instrumental Album of the Year for All Things Bright & Beautiful: Hymns for the Seasons, a collection he performed, produced and arranged exclusively for Parable Stores. The project held the #1 spot on Nielsen Christian SoundScan’s Instrumental chart for 25 weeks.
Andrew's sophomore recording, 2012’s critically-praised Angel Band: The Hymn Sessions, reached #2 on Amazon's Hot New Releases in Contemporary Folk chart and showcases collaborations with some of the top names in bluegrass, Gospel and Christian music, including Sonya Isaacs, Ginny Owens, The McCrary Sisters and Ron Block (Alison Krauss & Union Station). Featured nationwide in Family Christian Stores, Angel Band garnered significant media coverage in CCM Magazine, The Tennessean, Christianity Today, and Worship Leader, as well as landed Andrew TV appearances on FOX 4's Good Day Dallas, Live at Studio B and The Harvest Show.
His first Christmas record, Angel Band: The Christmas Sessions, releases November 5 and features collaborations with Nashville music legends Phil Madeira, The McCrary Sisters, Cindy Morgan and iconic Grammy Award winning recording artist Sandi Patty.
