The party of slavery, the Democrats, are up in arms about the racial comments made by Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, and Republicans concerned about their reelections and TV show ratings are running away from him as fast as they can.

The New York Times reported that Bundy said about blacks that, “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”
Obviously Bundy's comments are way off the mark for civil debate, but maybe Bundy is just echoing some of the rhetoric he's heard around Nevada, such as Democratic Senator Harry Reid, who famously remarked on the fact that Obama was "light skinned" and has "no negro dialect unless he wanted to have one." No, that couldn't be it.
Maybe he learned it from Democratic President Lyndon Johnson, who suggested that the "negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days." Could it be? No, maybe it was President Woodrow Wilson, another Democrat, who in speaking to the New York Times about blacks voting for him said, "If the colored people made a mistake in voting for me, they ought to correct it."
When considering the case of Cliven Bundy, you have to also wonder why those who attack him the most, seem to have the longest and most sordid involvement in the history of racism. Are the Democrats hypocrites about the racists in their own ranks?
