At the end of the line and the 82 games are completed, the Sens
improbably move on to the playoffs against the Montreal Canadians of
whom the Sens match up against well.

It has been a regular season of ups and downs. From Andrew Hammond
ending the season with a 20-1-2 record, the emergence of Mark Stone and
Mike Hoffman to the return of Erik Karlsson to Norris Trophy caliber and
the return and retirement of Daniel Alfredsson. This season also had
some not so great moments having Bryan Murray and Mark Reeds battle with
inoperable cancer, the firing of Paul Maclean and trying to recover
from early season struggles.
Having zero changes outside of the Jason Spezza trade, the change in
approach to the team by sitting veterans like Chris Phillips and holding
back on others like Chris Neil and Jared Cowen has allowed the players
to be young and hungry for competing in the regular season along with
continuing off to the post season.
