Jesus expects every believer to do the works that He did and even greater works. That is suppose to be normal Christianity. Only we cannot do Jesus' works in our own strength or ability, but Jesus promised His disciples, that when He went to the Father, He would send them the Holy Spirit. The same Spirit that anointed Jesus to preach the good news, heal the sick, and deliver the oppressed, is the same Holy Spirit that would empower every believer to do the works of Jesus and even greater works.
