IDENTITY: A Journey Through
Ephesians
Eph. 1:15-23
Today is graduation day for many of our teens. Some parents feel like they are
under compulsion to give advice to young people, even the ones who want to
relax and have fun. We just want them to succeed in real life and they need to
know certain important things to thrive.
In the verses we’ll study this weekend, we’ll learn what the Apostle Paul
regarded as the most important things for people to know. The second half of
Ephesians 1 records a prayer. Like everyone else, Paul prayed about what
mattered most to him. We’ll see that his prayer points out the most important
things for us to know as well. We are going to glean some very practical advice
about living real life in the real world. You can prepare by reading the
passage ahead of time and praying for God to reveal what he wants you to see.
Pray also that God will equip you to follow through with whatever challenge he
has for you this week. While you’re praying, ask God for the boldness you need
to invite a friend to come worship with you. I hope to see you.
