joe b:  Question for the group: How would you like to see 3rd Party companies interact with the fandom, and who seems to be setting the best example(s) to this point?  Personally, I like early project reveals with regular (monthly) updates, accurate (or close) expected ship dates, and good responsiveness to critical feedback.  Basically, good communication goes a long way with me, as in any relationship.  And, bad news today is better than bad news tomorrow.  Is this expecting too much?  Also, should we even be seeing pre-production REVIEWS, or just the reviewer giving the factory feedback on the early sample? I would love to hear the group on this, AND maybe some of these companies will hear and apply?  Thanks!!!

 

joe b:  One more thing, how about settling on a definition of "Masterpiece"?  I know we seem to have personal preferences for using the term, but what are the characteristics that, as a group, everyone can agree on, for an "official Shattered Cast definition of Masterpiece"?  Examples could be: 1) based on MP-10 scale, 2) modes based on the G1 cartoon, etc.  Or, should the definition simply remain in the eye of the beholder?  Thanks again!

mega tf man what would you guys rather money being put into more faithfull representations of characters with lesser quality materials used or higher quality figures that are less faithful to the characters

Are there other toy lines where 3rd party (add-on and full figures) is as prevalent or more as it is in the Transformers line?  If not, why do you think that is so (regulation, lack of interest)?  If there are other lines where 3P is just as prevalent how has that industry responded/how long has that 3P industry been active?
