Patricia Markham Risica, DrPH, RD is a nutritional epidemiologist with the
Institute for Community Health Promotion and Department of Epidemiology at the
Brown University School of Public Health. Early in her career, Dr. Risica
served as a nutrition support dietitian for five years at University of
Maryland Hospital before completing her MPH and DrPH at the Johns Hopkins
University Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her doctoral training included
traveling to rural Alaska, where Dr. Risica collected dietary data
house-to-house. Since that time, Dr. Risica and her team at Brown have created
at tested community-based public health interventions. Dr. Risica specializes
in data collection and assessment for evaluation of programs and interventions.
