This week I interview Rich Gray, Vice President for PLAE USA. Rich has held almost every position in the Strength and Conditioning profession. Prior to PLAE he was the National Athletic Manager for Lifetime Fitness/Hammer Strength where he oversaw all of the sales and marketing for College and Pro Teams, but also revived the Hammer Strength Clinic Series building it to an impressive 50+ Clinics. Additionally he spend time with York Barbell in a similar capacity. His passion for giving back to the community stems from being a strength coach himself with stints in both College/High School Strength and Conditioning and Performance facilities. For those that know him, you know he is a phenomenal person. Those that don't need to seek him out at the next conference.
In this episode we discuss:
His journey into the Strength and Conditioning field.
Importance of developing skills outside of the weight room.
Most common mistakes he see's in putting a facility together.
What trends he sees in facility design.
What should you look for in a Strength and Conditioning Floor.
The best piece of coaching advice he has received.
