GOD USES BROKEN PEOPLE

 Peter Lost His Purpose
John 21:3 - Simon Peter said to the others, “I’m going fishing.”

 Thomas Lost His Faith
John 20:25 - But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.”

 David Lost His Integrity 
Psalm 51:1,2 - Wipe out all my wrongs. Wash away all my guilt and make me clean again.

 Rahab Lost Her Reputation
Hebrews 11:31 - Rahab the prostitute …

GOD BLESSES BROKENNESS

1. Believe For Better
Joshua 2:9-11 - “I know the LORD has given you this land,” she told them … For we have heard how the LORD made a dry path for you through the Red Sea when you left Egypt. And we know what you did to … the two Amorite kings east of the Jordan River … For the LORD your God is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below. (NLT)

2. Take A Step Of Faith
James 2:25 - The same with Rahab, the Jericho harlot. Wasn’t her action in hiding God’s spies and helping them escape—that seamless unity of believing and doing—what counted with God? (MSG)

3. Upgrade Your Friends
Joshua 6:25 - So Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute and her relatives who were with her in the house, because she had hidden the spies Joshua sent to Jericho. And she lives among the Israelites to this day.

Matthew 1:1,5,16 - This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of King David and of Abraham … Salmon was the father of Boaz (his mother was Rahab) … Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Mary was the mother of Jesus, who is called the Messiah.
