This week Cole Houston and Eddie Medina explore a topic long overdue for discussion - Star Wars fandom outreach. Inspired by the recent campaign to get a screening of Episode VII for Daniel Fleetwood, it seemed natural to talk about all of the ways our fan community helps one another as well as so many who are not necessarily as steeped in Star Wars.
From the many charitable campaigns mounted by the 501st Legion to heartwarming tales like that of R2-KT, many are the tales of the Star Wars community going above and beyond.
This episode was recorded on Sunday, November 8, 2015. On Tuesday, November 10 it was announced that Daniel Fleetwood had passed away, mere days after having his dying wish granted by Disney and JJ Abrams. This episode is dedicated to his memory.
