Joe Rooney is one of Ireland's most recognisable faces from the stage and television with an acting and comedy career spanning over 20 years. This week Joe joined Jarlath to talk about his early career as a frontman in a successful Dublin band in the late 80s before speaking publicly for the first time about the agoraphobia and panic attacks that he suffered after its split.
Joe explains the process of creating Father Damo in Ted, how taking to the stage was a relief for him during a time where he feared leaving his house, why he believes a lot of comedy doesn't have a social conscience anymore and the importance of simply starting to work on one's goals.
