Welcome one and all to the latest issue of Hey Kids, Comics!
The show is back after a week off with a patriotic turn. Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston take a look at super-patriotism as portrayed in comics. From the super-heroes who have taken it upon themselves to be the figurehead of their country to those who's very presence invokes the flag of their nation, comics have produced such characters for decades.
Captain America naturally springs to mind at the outset, but what of others who are less obvious? And then there are the blatant "let's have a national representative hero of this country who's name and costume reflects but the tiniest aspect of their culture" chestnuts! These and others who fight the good fight in the name of, in the colors of, or as the embodiment of their homeland are discussed at length on the latest episode.
