Are We There Yet?
I’m starting a series on the art of waiting. We don’t always get
what we want when we want it, so we find ourselves struggling with the fact
that we have not yet arrived. We’re all on our way and we can relate to the
Israelites on their long trip to the Promised Land. It wasn’t an easy or quick
trip for them. They didn’t get what they wanted right away so they complained.
We can be like them.
When you’re forced to wait, do you get grumpy or do you get closer to God? It’s
up to you. Our response to disappointment determines what the journey will be
like.
The Bible says a lot about how we should view desert-like experiences. We will
learn what good can come from tough times in our lives. This week’s message may
apply to you concerning where you want to be financially, relationally,
physically, and/or spiritually. Come worship with us and bring a friend.
